We covered looking at volunteer and board recruitment differently. Chris also shared her passion for UltraRunning and her next goal of biking 250 miles and climbing Mt. Talking about JOBS!  Kristi Trione and Ryan Lewis joined us today from the SV Community Network to talk about a Jobs Fair coming to Fall City on November 5th.  This is a great story of how the community is coming together to help people who are out of work get the support they need.  Please consider helping out, or join us!  We'll have employers there, so bring your resume. The NEW LIVELIHOODS JOB FAIR (NLJF) is a FREE, first of its kind, public event aimed at bringing Snoqualmie Valley community residents together to help develop our local economy. The NLJF is envisioned to be a platform to link those in immediate need of finding a job with local employers. Job finding helper services (i.e. resume and interview coaching) as well as social services for the financially struggling will be on site. Free workshops and exhibitor booths designed to help foster new, self-starter income earning possibilities will be offered across the day. In efforts to tap the wisdom of enrolled groups, an innovative workshop facilitation method known as "Open Space" will be hosted to identify and prepare potential next steps about creating new forms of work, new businesses --- new livelihoods in our valley! Who Should Attend

• Valley residents of all ages who are unemployed, underemployed and/or unhappily employed and looking for meaningful work.

• Businesses wanting to promote their products and services, network and collaborate with others, find employees or interns, or share their skills.

Heart Walk on Walk the Talk with Kim October 5, 2011

The rest of the show focused on the heart. We were joined by Holly Tucci - an inspiring woman who lives a full and diverse life, despite the lifelong need for a pacemaker. Elaine Minnich talked about her son, having been diagnosed with a heart defect in utero. On the phone was Dr. Krabill - a nationally leading physician who has dedicated her practice to heart conditions in our smallest citizens. She talked about what you need to know about heart disease.
